DavNor’s Convergence program reaches out to New Casay


1003RD (RAPTOR) BRIGADE, NEW VISAYAS, Sto. Tomas, DDN – About 1,640 residents of Barangay New Casay, B. E. Dujali, Davao del Norte, received basic social and health services, livelihood and other assistance as the Provincial Government of Davao del Norte, the Armed Forces, National Police and the Municipal Government of B. E Dujali, Davao del Norte had brought the government right to the doorstep of the barangay from 8 am to 5 pm yesterday, 18 May 2012.

The “Convergence for Peace and Development” had reached out to the remote area of the said barangay and extended Medical and Dental, X-ray, ECG, Minor Surgery, Malaria Case Finding, ‘Tutok Kubeta’, Nutrition Feeding, Skin ‘Kutis Kilatis’, Red Cop, Free Lugaw, Slippers for Day Care children, Educational Materials, Libreng Gupit (PSWDO and AFP), Massage and Therapy, PNP Consultation and Issuance of Police Clearance, Distribution of Vegetables and Tree Seedlings, Animal Health Services, Legal Consultation and the services of Local Civil Registrar.      

The 1003rd (RAPTOR) BAND rendered musical entertainment as backgrounder of the program.Simultaneously, a Barangay Forum presided by Vice Governor Victorio  Suaybaguio was conducted at the Barangay Hall where Hon. Ramonito P Cabasan, New Casay Barangay Captain, raised their concerns on farm to market road, water system, renovation of barangay hall, covered court, and school fencing.

Those were among the priority projects deliberated and had given assurance to be worked out in conformity with the availability of the resources and fund.During the program proper Ramonito P Cabasan, Sr., Barangay Chairman, New Casay, expressed his gratitude in behalf of his constituents for the free services given to them, especially the pledges of support by the Provincial and City Government, AFP and PNP on the concerns of his barangay.  

Hon. Lolita A Moral, B. E. Dujali Mayor, expressed her gratitude to the Governor for the convergence, especially to the efforts of the military and PNP which had spared the Municipality from the problem of insurgency.Police Senior Supt Edgardo G Wycoco, Provincial Director, Davao Del Norte Police Provincial Office, expressed his appreciation of the stakeholders’ support  to the Governor’s program.

He pledged his support to continue their dedicated services in securing the community and the regular participation during the conduct of convergence programs.Col. Norman Febiar, 1003rd Brigade deputy commander in behalf of Col. Lysander Suerte Commander, 1003rd Brigade, expressed the unfading commitment of the Armed Forces of the Philippines as partner of the LGUs, LGAs and all other sectors in helping the people.

 He further assured to exert all efforts and help in securing peaceful atmosphere for other stakeholders to have smooth implementation of developmental programs and projects that widen avenues “alang sa kalamboan ug kalinaw.”Vice Governor Victorio  Suaybaguio, expressed his appreciation of the untiring work attitude of all stakeholders, reiterated his support and called the people to strengthen the unity in the continuing quest for peace and development.

He further quoted the message of Governor del Rosario on the essence of the convergence, in support the Peace and Development Agenda of PNoy and further quoted: “We are all brothers and sisters, we must love ourselves because we are Filipinos. We must help each other and God will help us”, the governor added.

The program proper culminated with the Ceremonial Distribution of Slippers and Educational Materials to Day care Children and Elementary Pupils, Turn-over of Tilapia fingerlings.An Oath of Office for the organized Barangay Health Teams was administered by the Vice Governor.Then, the musical entertainment portion by 1003rd Brigade continued while the services went on for the rest of the day’s affair.  (10th ID PA)
