President Benigno S. Aquino III is scheduled to
sign before the year ends the P2.606-trillion General Appropriations Act (GAA)
for 2015, Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said.
“The President will sign the General Appropriations Act for 2015, which stands as a testament to the lengthy reviews and planning undertaken by agencies, in order to improve the way they serve the public,” Secretary Lacierda said in a statement.
He noted that this marks the fifth time the budget has been passed on time.
“This stands as a symbol of the Aquino administration’s commitment to reforms. The P2.606-trillion budget for next year remains guided by the philosophies that have characterized our administration, among them inclusive growth, transparency and accountability, and our effort to build back better,” he said.
