TAGUM CITY, Davao del Norte, Jan 21 (PIA) Values formation,
peace and order, power, better water and billeting facilities, refurbishing of
sports facilities are the key areas being focused in the preparations of the
Tagum City government in the forthcoming co-hosting of the Palarong Pambansa
2015 this summer.
Mayor Allan Rellon told reporters at the Biz Talk at Big 8 Hotel
that as co-host of the Davao del Norte provincial government, a committee has
been organized to ensure the orderly holding of the Palarong Pambansa here this
year.
He said a third batch of its 3,500 strong tricycle drivers is
undergoing values formation on proper dealing of visitors to ensure that they
treat visitors accordingly.
“It is like preparing our house for a big occasion.
Physical preparation and values formation are ensured for the comfort of the
athletes and officers from various regions of the country on the duration of
their visit,” Rellon said.
He said that his administration will assume as a complimentary
role with Governor Rodolfo Del Rosario as the host of the Palarong Pambansa
2015.
Rellon said that as a member of the Palarong Pambansa executive
committee, he has formed a local committee that coordinates with the Davao del
Norte for the preparations.
He said that prior to the Palarong Pambansa, the city is also
preparing for the Araw ng Tagum, Musikahan and Tagumeno Bisag Asa also slated
during the first quarter of 2015.
