DAVAO CITY, Jan. 29 – Director Priscilla N. Razon of the Department
of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) was named Best Manager of the
Year among 17 DSWD Regional Directors during the celebration of the 64th
Founding Anniversary of the department Thursday in Quezon City.
When she was Assistant Regional Director, Director Razon won as Best
Assistant Manager in 2011. She was also semi-finalist to the 2007
Lingkod Bayan Awards of the Civil Service Commission and was conferred
Best Division Chief in 2006.
Other national nominees from the region are Raquel E. Nuňez for Best
Division Chief, Lolita I. Roble for Best Center Manager, and Anne Y.
Jickain for Best Social Worker.
With the theme, DSWD@64: Tuloy ang Pagbabago at Pag-unlad, the
department marked its 64 years with several activities such as
Thanksgiving Mass, Livelihood Bazaar, Zumba Party, Photography Contest,
Showing of the Best Film of the Decade, Parade and Street Dance, Pinoy
Amazing Race, DSWD’s Got Talent, Awards Ceremony, among others.
The regional celebration is set on February 18 which will highlight recognition of DSWD development partners in the region.
Meanwhile,
for two straight years now, the region obtained the highest rank during
the review of Performance Contract among 21 DSWD Offices throughout the
country including Central Office and Attached Agencies.
DSWD XI was also cited Outstanding in the 2013 Report Card Survey of
the Civil Service Commission (CSC) which measured agency compliance with
