DOST seeks health research and development proposals for funding



DAVAO DEL NORTE, January 29 (PIA) - - The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region XI is inviting researchers to submit proposals for funding support on health research and development.

The Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) of the DOST will be giving away not more than P 500,000 to individual or group, whose research proposal will be chosen.

Leslie Pearl Cancio of DOST XI said that the research should be based on the health issues covering Infectious Diseases, Traditional Medicine, Maternal and Child Health, Information Technology, and Environment and Climate Change

Cacnio added that the research and development project should be completed within six months or one year only.

She said that the interested applicants must submit two to three pages of capsule proposal, in which a sample can be downloaded in their website, region11.healthresearch.ph.

She added that the capsule proposal includes the project title, rationale or significance, objectives, methodology, expected outputs and line item budget.

She said that the proposals must be submitted on or before February 11 at the Davao del Norte Field Office in Energy Park Tagum City or at the Regional Health Research and Development Consortium XI Office, DOST Building, Bajada Davao City.

She said that proposal can also be accepted through email at rhrdc_davaoregion@yahoo.com.
