In the spirit of working together for the continuous development of the City of Tagum, Mayor Allan Rellon sought the support of the 6th City Council in the fulfillment of his ten-point agenda in governance stipulated under EAGLE WINGS Program during the inaugural session of the 6th City Council last July 4, 2013 where he was invited to speak.

The executive department of the city government under Mayor Rellon’s leadership is looking forward to work hand-in-hand with the legislative department under Vice Mayor Geterito Gementiza.

Among the priority thrusts the local chief executive shared to the council is his plan to strengthen the projects on Education, Employment and culture as to provide scholarship to poor but deserving students.

Rellon added that Agriculture, Fisheries and Environment will be given priority as well as to promote Livelihood and Tourism through the utilization of modern technology.

The newly-installed mayor also urged the council to make the revision of the controversial Real Property Tax sensitive to the concerns and plights of the taxpayers, as well as to the revival of the regulatory board under the Economic Enterprise Office.

He also relayed on the creation of an office that will handle all the concerns and affairs of the non-government and government organizations (NGO’s and GO’s) and the city’s senior citizens.

The thrusts of the present administration, he said, will be elaborately detailed in the formulation of the executive-legislative agenda in the near future. Gleiza Delgado of CIO Tagum
