Rellon bares priority thrusts to barangay execs

TAGUM CITY, Davao del Norte, July 08-- Tagum City Mayor Allan Rellon officially met the 23 Barangay Captains last July 2 wherein he outlined several priority thrusts under his administration.

The newly-installed chief executive stressed out that the New City Hall would be an on-going project during his term, saying that it being a Tagum Landmark calls for the continued construction of the Australian-inspired building.

He also laid down the changes that the city needs to undergo, particularly pointing out to the creation of Purok Road Improvement Maintenance (PRIM) Task Force following the issuance of an Executive Order. It was also brought forth that a survey should be done on all the Puroks in the city to determine which among these places should be included in the priority list for road improvement.

To ensure that his thrusts are well-grounded in the grassroots level, the local chief executive would visit every barangay and meet with its officials to talk about their plights and issues early in the morning before reporting to office.

Other important matters that Mayor Rellon made known to his barangay Captains included the improvements done on the Old City Hall, the city’s plan of reviving Barangay Financial, Burial and Medical Assistance, and scholarships for deserving students, and his program called the EAGLE WINGS.

EAGLE WINGS Program gives priority on education, employment, agriculture, peace and security, livelihood and tourism, economy and affordability of taxes, wellness, NGO empowerment, good governance and social services. (Mary Christma Richi D. Gulle, CIO Tagum)
