Government eligibility exams set on May 3



DAVAO CITY, Mar 2 (PIA) A total of 7,000 examinees are expected to take the paper and pen exams on May 3 for the professional and sub-professional eligibility levels in Davao Region.

This according to Atty. Anabelle Rosell, director Civil Service Commission 11 Speaking in the public forum, “Kapihan sa SM City,” she said that an acceptance counter for will be set up within the third floor of the SM City Mall near the office of the Department of Foreign Affairs to receive the pertinent documents required for prospective examinees starting March 7.

“You may submit your application provided that you’re a Filipino citizen and 18 years old and above,” Rosell said. She said that the deadline for the application will be on March 12 which might close immediately after getting the total number of examinees.

Rosell explained that the agency is constrained with the limited number of schools as testing centers and the testing administrators, consequently limiting the number of examinees to 7,000 only. “File as early as possible,” she said. Rosell also announced that the nomination for outstanding public officials and employees is now open.

She said the honors award program is for outstanding career and non-career service officers and employees of government which manifested exemplary behavior in public service. Rosell said that since 2000, Davao Region only had 10 awardees. The awarding ceremony is slated in Malacanang on September, 2015.   Deadline for the submission of nomination will be on March 31.  (PIA 11-Joey Sem G. Dalumpines)
