Philhealth members urged to pay before deadline

DAVAO CITY, Mar. 23 – The Philhealth Regional Office 11 is reminding its voluntary members to secure payment for their premium contributions on or before the first quarter deadline on March 31.

Since the office is expecting high volume of foot traffic during deadlines, it is urging members to pay in advance to avoid long queues and further inconvenience.

This reminder comes with an objective to cultivate a culture of responsibility among members and encourage them to be mindful of their payment obligations to avoid disruption in availing of benefits, according to the agency.

A minimum requirement of at least three months payment within the past six months prior to the first day of confinement is necessary to be eligible in availing of health care benefits; thus, premiums should always be regular and updated.

To intensify its collection efforts, Philhealth has put up service desks all over the city, including a two-day payment center in Abreeza Mall on March 30 and 31.

Through their Philhealth Identification Number (PIN), members may also pay at authorized bayad centers such as Western Union, LBC Express, MLhuilier Ebiz, SM Retail stores, Philpost offices and other accredited collecting agents nationwide. (PHIC-XI/Kleah Dublin)
