RDR leads DavNor awardees



DAVAO DEL NORTE, October 5, 2015 – Davao del Norte Governor Rodolfo del Rosario led other provincial awardees during the celebration of the 115th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary last Wednesday, September 30.

With the theme “Kayang Kaya Mo, Lingkod Bayani,” the 857 awards were given to individuals and groups for their valuable support in each field of services rendered to the public on that CSC 2015 Grand Awarding Ceremony held at the RDR Gym, Capitol Grounds.

Del Rosario received the Public Service Excellence Award conferred by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) for his no-nonsense governance steering Davao del Norte to its height exemplifying core values of integrity, competence and commitment. His overarching strategy of P.E.O.P.L.E. which stands for People empowerment, Education and environment, Optimum health and social services, Public-private partnership, Link to the world and Employment and livelihood opportunities, had made a difference in the many lives of province’ constituents are but just few of the main reasons of being anexcellent public servant awardee.

Along with the multi-awarded governor are his ‘generals and adjutants,’ department heads along with their personnel, conferred also by the Civil Service Commission for their invaluable contributions in each field of public service.

Special Awards were also given to individuals in the fields of Best in the Observance of Dress Code, Most Industrious, Most Courteous, Novelty Award, Hall of Fame, Hall of Fame (consistency award), Hall of Fame (honor award), Lifetime Achievement Award, Officership/Position held in Regional & National Government Organizations (GOs) and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) from different offices and departments.

With the awards and commendations given to individual and group awardees, guest speaker Director Minda G. Ostique of the CSC Davao del Norte Field Office highly emphasized for civil servants to strive more for excellence integrity. She stressed to all government workers that job competency be always in mind consistently exceeding public expectations in each assignments.

“Kayang-Kaya Mo Lingkod Bayani with integrity, delivers total excellence and effectiveness,” said Ostique as she rallied for government workers’personal development.

Governor del Rosario, though not physically present due to attending important matters in Manila, had his message read and delivered by Vice Governor Victorio Suaybaguio, Jr.

“Although this is a challenge to all government employees, but Kayang Kaya Mo Lingkod Bayani.  Continue, continue nurturing the culture of excellence,” the message echoed loud and clearinside the gym to rally all civil servants for the best. (pio)
