Pearl Farm Resort calls on PCG for more sea visibilty



DAVAO CITY, Oct 5 (PIA) The management of the Pearl Farm Resort in Barangay Kaputian, Island Garden City of Samal assured the safety and security of tourists both foreign and domestic while spending their vacation in the area.

Josu Mikel Villaverde, general manager of the resort told relaunching of the Kapihan sa PIA at the Pearl Farm Resort that internally the facility is being guarded closely by a professional security agency to guarantee the safety of their customers.

He said that nowadays, police are moving around the island to deter a repeat of the abduction incident which took three foreign nationals and a Filipina off the island.

Villaverde urged the government through the Philippine Coast Guard to make itself felt by conducting patrols on the sea lanes between Davao City and IGACOS.

“It could have been better if the Coast Guard can be seen often at sea in the same manner that government forces guard the national highway,” he said.

Villaverde said that currently the Pearl Farm Resort is investing P200,000,000-P300,000,000 for the rehabilitation of all its facilities in the island.

“As a matter of fact, the occupancy, the revenues are very good,” he said.

Katherine Dizon, sales manager of the Pearl Farm Resort said fifty tourists come to the Pearl Farm Resort every day and would vary depending on the season.

“Pearl Farm is known as a getaway for the Yuletide Season and we have booked many tourists towards December,”   Dizon said.  (PIA 11-Joey Sem G. Dalumpines)
