DAVAO DEL NORTE- - The
provincial government of Davao del Norte will host games and fun activities for
the members of the local media on October 14, 2015 in celebration of the Press
Freedom Month.
With the theme
‘Katungod ug Respeto Ipatigbabaw sa Malahutayong Pamahayag,’ this year’s
celebration will be highlighted with a Medialympics at the RDR Gym, Davao del
Norte Sports and Tourism Complex.
The Medialympics will
include Basketball, Badminton, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Darts and parlor
games, which will be organized by the Provincial Information Office in
partnership with the Provincial Sports Office.
Around 150 media
personnel including city and municipal information officers in the province are
expected to join in the sporting event, which will kick off with a mass at 7:00
in the morning.
The celebration is
pursuant to the proclamation of Gov. Rodolfo del Rosario on 2008 declaring
