DavNor launches Capitol Band



DAVAO DEL NORTE, October 5, 2015—Recognizing the role of music as increasingly important in a public spectacle and event in any institutional activities, the provincial government of Davao del Norte launched its own DavNor Capitol Band last Wednesday (September 30, 2015) in time of the 2015 CSC Grand Awarding Ceremony.




Created by virtue of Administrative Order No. 14 Series of 2015 [An Order Organizing/Creating the Provincial Government of Davao del Norte Band or DavNor Capitol Band] signed by Governor Rodolfo del Rosario on September 8,the LGU expenses for outsourcing musical talents to become part of its many social activities will now become a savings. The band however, shall not be allowed to engage in any outside activities but are for the official activities of the provincial government.

Members of the band are coming from the different offices of the Provincial Government with the Provincial Administrator, Provincial Information Officer and the Provincial General Services Officer serving as advisers of the group and likewise formulate guidelines of recruitment and selection of band members for purposes of continuity and sustainability.

At present the DavNor Capitol Band members is composed of keyboardist and lead guitarist, Fernando Cabradilla, bass and keyboardist Jose Tawatawala, keyboardist Ace Abogan, Al Lansadera, the team leader of the band, vocalist Amesyl Ramos, back-up female vocalist Ayala Gabriele Marie Lupiano, male lead vocalist Arnel Saturno, back-up male vocalist Zonio Renzo, saxophonist Saturn John Acilo from the Provincial Information Office, band leader back-up Diosdado Baluya, rhythm guitarist Raymund Israel and back up male vocalist Bimbo Foronda.

PGSO Sammy Sanchez serves as the Band producer and director who exerted all the means for its creation.

The newly-formed DavNor Band made its debut on the 2015 Grand Awarding Ceremony in celebration of the 115th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary wherein 857 awards were conferred in the more than three-hour ceremony.

Governor Rodolfo del Rosario led the CSC awardees receiving the Public Service Excellence Award.(pio)
