CITY, Davao del Norte, October 31, 2014 - To promote a healthy lifestyle
through exercise, the Local Government incorporated the Binulig Zumba to the
week-long 2nd Binulig Festival celebration themed: “Mabuligong abot bunga sa
nagkahiusang paningkamot.”
More
than 150 zumba participants from three different fitness groups in the City
gathered at the ARF Gym last Wednesday October 29. It was the first time that
three zumba groups gathered in one event for two reasons, to burn and promote
exercise.
Each
zumba team led the participants to a 15-20 minute dance exercise. The teams
were Panabo Physical Fitness Club, Panabo Aerokaebo, and Panabo Zumba Club.
Further,
the fortunate participants received prizes such as umbrellas, mugs and tumbles
through a raffle draw. Certificates of participation were also given to those who
finished the whole session.
Binulig Zumba is an initiative of the Chairman
of the Committee on Tourism City Councilor Hon. Renante “Yangyang” Bangoy and
the Tourism and Investment Promotion Staff of the City Administrator’s Office.
