2nd Binulig Festival continues amidst bad weather

PANABO CITY, Davao del Norte, October 29 - “The show must go on!” was quiet a motto behind the 2nd Binulig Festival’s successful activities under the rain since its opening on October 24 Friday in front of Museo Panabo.

During the Opening Ceremony, various sectors joined the parade such as the first time participants from the premium and night market vendors to beauticians and haircutters. City officials, department heads, and government employees also paraded with different schools and civic organizations.

However, heavy rain poured down during the arrival which made everyone disperse to every tent. After an hour, the festival continued its opening program highlighting the winners of the Binulig Festival Attire and Best-Dressed Tricycle.

Moreover, the festival features the Agri-Trade, Industry and Tourism Expo at the Parks and Plaza which was opened to panaboans and visitors who want to see the different products of the City. The Expo will end its services on November 2 Sunday.

Binulig Festival 2014 themed “Mabuligong abot bunga sa nagkahiusang paningkamot” was planned by the Local Government of Panabo, through the Tourism and Investment Promotions Section, to celebrate the bountiful harvest in the City such as banana, corn, palm oil, and cacao.
