PANABO
CITY, Davao del Norte, October 30– Farmers from different barangays in the City
gathered at the Barangay Hall of New Pandan to attend the 3rd
Business Opportunity and Marketing Encounter (BOME) on October 28 Tuesday.
The
participants were given updates and information regarding three kinds of crops
namely Cacao, Cassava, and Banana (Cardava).
Furthermore,
Zenon Alenton of Kennemer Foods International spoke about the importance of
Cacao to one of the most wanted snacks in the world, Chocolate.
Primo
Esmidina of San Miguel Foods talked about Cassava while Sagrex Foods
Incorporated Consultant Danilo Fanlo shared his ideas and experience in Banana
production especially Cardava.
Department
of Trade and Industry Provincial OIC Romeo L. Castañaga inspired the
participants to do their best in achieving their agri-businesses through
initiative and regularity.
Moreover,
participants were left satisfied as their questions were thoroughly answered at
the end of the session.
Present
in the seminar was Congressman Antonio F. Lagdameo’s representative Dante
Bautista, City Councilors Hon. Emmanuel Pamisaran, Hon. Jan Ris Relampagos,
Hon. Wahid Ranain, and the President of the City Tourism Council Hon. Dizon
Namuag.
BOME
is part of the week long Binulig Festival Celebration with the theme
“Mabuligong abot bunga sa nagkahiusang paningkamot”. It was spearheaded by the
City Government Unit and City Councilor Hon. Renante Bangoy through the Tourism
