Davao del Norte, November 26, 2014 –Davao del 
Norte’s annual Yuletide tradition of joy and merry-making takes on a 
fiesta theme with the launch of the month-long Pasko Fiesta sa 
Kapitolyo.
Governor Rodolfo del Rosario led the launch of the Christmas food and
 tourism fair at the Tourism Village inside the Davao del Norte Sports 
and Tourism Complex in Mankilam, Tagum City, in a night of entertainment
 and jubilation.
The Pasko Fiesta will burst into life every Friday and Saturday from 
November 21 to December 20, 2014 from 5:00 o’clock in the afternoon to 
12:00 midnight.
The Dabaonons shall keep the spirit of Christmas up and alive through
 culinary feasts, as well as, cultural and arts presentations that are 
uniquely Dabaonon.
Food coupons worth P199 are available at the Tourism Village booth 
and at the Provincial Tourism Office, GSP Building, Capitol, Mankilam, 
Tagum City.
Four food concessioners provide the delicious recipes that include 
unlimited rice, one soup, four main dishes, one dessert and 8-ounce iced
 tea.
Highlighting the opening ceremony was the lighting of the Christmas tree and nativity scene, led by del Rosario.
“More than a symbol of Christmas, this tree here represents good luck 
and is an expression of well-wishes for the Dabaonon people as we also 
welcome another fruitful year,” the governor said.
Tickets for a one-day accommodation in prime hotels and resorts in the province were  also raffled out to lucky patrons.
Joining the governor were Vice Governor Victorio Suaybaguio, Jr., 
1003rd Commander Col. Harold Cabreros, DNPPO Director PSSupt. 
Samuel Gadingan, OIC-Provincial Administrator Norma Lumain, Provincial 
Tourism Council Araceli Ayuste, Mayor Joseph Nilo Pareñas and Mayor
