DAVAO
CITY- A total of 12,398 people attended the Carte Blanche 2014 electronic dance
music festival held at the concerts grounds of the Davao Crocodile Park.
According
to event organizer Kat Dalisay, this year’s festival figures were much higher
than last year’s carte blanche which had 10,033 people.
“We
really wanted to make this event bigger and better.” Dalisay said.
Two
fields were rented during the event as compared to last year which was held in
only one field.
Dalisay
said she hopes that Carte Blanche will be an event which Davao will be proud of
and one which will bring in more tourists to visit the city.
Touted
as the biggest dance floor in the southern Philippines, Carte Blanche 2014
gathered 28 djs and MCs from all over the country to perform in the electronic
dance music event.
The
event was held without any untoward incident as Dalisay said she had mobilized
110 bouncers backed up by four mobile patrol units from the Davao City Police
Office, troops from Task Force Davao and security guards to man the perimeter.
Two
standby ambulance plus six first aid stations were also established during the
event.
