Traffic Management Center bares results of traffic violations

DAVAO CITY, Feb 9 (PIA) A total of 326 violators had been apprehended by the Traffic Management Center on the use of illegal mufflers called bora-bora since the intensified campaign in January 2015.

Rhodelio Poliquit, chief of the TMC said most of the violations were in Barangays Talomo, Panacan and Catalunan Grande which were away from the central district.

“We have intensified the campaign against the bora-bora due to the noise pollution it creates,” he said.

Poliquit also revealed that a total of 8,000 motorists had been apprehended for violation of the Speed Limit Ordinance on the same duration.

He also clarified that only 65 out of the 370 enforcers are duly deputized by the Land Transportation Office on pursuing traffic violations.  (PIA 11-Joey Sem G. Dalumpines)
