TAGUM CITY, Davao del Norte, Feb. 17 - A successful police
operation led to the arrest of three drug suspects during a raid by anti-drug
operatives and the Tagum City Police Office (TCPO) in Purok Sunshine 2,
Barangay Visayan Village,Tagum City last February 13, 2015.
Several packs of suspected shabu worth P21, 550 were confiscated
from the possession of Carmela Alcantara, Rey Lamera, and Rolando Fajardo Jr,
who were arrested by operatives by virtue of a search warrant issued by
Regional Trial Court signed by Judge Rowena Adlawan.
Members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the
Special Task Group Tagum’s Finest led by Police Inspector Cosme Masepequiña
recovered 9 sachets of Shabu, 9 sachets of shabu residues, 6 pieces disposable
lighters, 2 pieces of leather pouch, 2 pieces aluminum strips, 1 piece aluminum
tooter, small plastic ware container, 1 piece plastic ware pipe, 1 piece cotton
cloth baby hand glove and estimated combined money worth of P21,550.
Police Inspector Anjaneth Tirador said in an interview they had
conducted surveillance for two-weeks prior to the operation leading to the
arrest of the suspects, which will be charged with violation of Republic Act
9165 or the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002.
They were detained at the TCPO detention cell while confiscated
items will be subject for proper disposition.
