DAVAO DEL NORTE, Jan. 13 (PIA)--- The Civil Service Commission
provincial field office in Davao del Norte is set to conduct in February
the Civil Service (CS) Exam Caravan targeting town halls and malls as
venues of the one-day exam registration.
The initiative is designed to facilitate the registration of CS exam
applicants especially those living in far-flung areas, CSC Provincial
Director Minda G. Ostique said in an interview.
“They need not come to our office,” she said referring to CSC
provincial office located at the Provincial Government Center in
Mankilam, Tagum City.
The offsite CS exam registration will run until the end of February
or early March just before the registration deadline on March 12.
CSC targets to register 3,500 applicants for the May 3, 2015 “paper
and pencil” exam. The number includes those in Compostela Valley and in
Mati City.
Ostique encouraged interested applicants to register early and to
take advantage of the CS Exam Caravan as CSC will close the
registration once the target number of examinees is reached.
“This is to ensure them of slots for the exam,” she said.
While CSC sees to it that exam details won’t leak, it is giving
examinees an idea on the scope of the exam for professional and for
sub-professional levels.
The
professional level will include vocabulary, grammar, and correct usage,
paragraph organization, reading comprehension, analogy, logic and
numerical reasoning in English and Filipino.
The sub-professional level will cover spelling, clerical operations,
numerical reasoning, vocabulary, grammar, correct usage, paragraph
organization and reading comprehension both in English and in Filipino.
