DAVAO DEL NORTE, November 3 (PIA) -
- Gov. Rodolfo del Rosario of this province encouraged the provincial
government employees to work harder and with values to achieve sustainable
development in the province.
Gov. Del Rosario led earlier today
the celebration of the Filipino Values Month during the Monday Convocation held
at the Bulwagan ng Lalawigan, Tagum City.
Sponsored by the Office of the
Secretary to the Sanggunian, the provincial government focused the celebration
on the theme, “Values Education as Applied to the
Workplace.”
“The Filipino values demonstrated by
the Department of Education (DepEd) such as Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan,
and Makabansa encapsulated the efforts of the provincial government in shaping
the character of the Dabaonon,” Gov. Del Rosario said.
Del Rosario said that these values
when practice will cause a harmonious relationship even in the work place and
eventually will be the keys to the realization of the province’s vision towards
sustainable development.
He emphasized that there are
employees who were just working and others were working harder.
“To have a healthy working
relationship and a perfect workplace, everyone should work harder like the
others,” Governor del Rosario said.
Meanwhile, Josephine Fadul, schools
division superintendent, discussed the foundation of productivity on human
work, which covered work as an object and a subject.
“To be able to note the importance
of work, we should see it not only as an object but also as a subject,” Fadul
said.
She stressed that most of the waking
hours of an employee was spent in the work place.
“To be effective in our work, we
should be not just view working as to earn a living, but also to earn
self-satisfaction and self-development,” she added. (PIA 11, Michael Uy)
