DAVAO CITY, Nov 18 (PIA) A total of 75
Davao-Manila and vice versa flights have been cancelled because of the Asia
Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit held in Metro Manila up to Friday, November
20.
The Philippine Airlines cancelled 38, while the
Cebu-Pacific Air cancelled 33 flights.
The Air Asia also followed suit with four
flights cancelled in the duration.
Airport authorities claimed that there were no
complaints received from the passengers since they were informed ahead of time
through electronic mail and text messaging.
The Philippine Airlines said the flight
cancellations resulted already to $18.75-Million-losses.
Cielo Villaluna, spokesperson of the PAL said a
total of 699 flights have been cancelled nationwide due to the APEC summit.
