31 Panaboan Households Now Energized



PANABO CITY, Davao del Norte, November 6, 2015 - Through the Pailaw sa Barangay Program of the City Government of Panabo, 31 households in Sitio Tagactac, Purok-6, Barangay San Nicolas are now energized provided by the main grid of the Davao Light and Power Company (DLPC) on October 20, 2015.

The Rural Urban Electrification is one of the priority projects of City Mayor Engr. James G. Gamao as a way of alleviating poverty and to improve the living condition of the Panaboans in the rural areas.

“Importante kaayo ang kahayag sa atong mga panimalay busa ampingan nato kini ug dili kalimtan ang atong obligasyon ug responsibilidad,” Mayor Gamao said.

Meanwhile, DLPC representative Francis Meñosa urged other recipients to avail of the Instant Sight Application Connection (ISAC) that cost Php 273.00 covering the service entrance and electrical permit that will be included on their first billing statement.

Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) representative FO2 Michael Alferez mentioned some electrical fire safety tips and from the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers representative also gave some energy saving tips to the recipients.

On the other hand, Barangay Captain Allan Sarabia expressed his gratitude to the local government officials for allocating more than 1 million pesos budget for the said project. “Nalipay kaayo mi ug mapasalamaton sa mga tabang na mataoran na gayud mi ug linya sa kuryente,” he added.

Also present during the switch-on ceremony were City Vice Mayor Janrey Gavina, City Councilors Engr.Ronald Ang, Ferdinand Gocon, Emmanuel Pamisaran and Barangay Officials among others.(Jasz/CIO-Panabo)
