Crime victims urged to help in filing charges against suspects

DAVAO CITY, November 25 (PIA) Chief Inspector Milgrace Driz, spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office urged victims of criminalities to file charges against the  perpetrators.

She said the police need the cooperation of victims for the due process to run.

Driz said there are incidents where the victims have identified the suspects following a thorough investigation, but as investigators pursue, the victims tend not showing interest in pursuing the case.

She mentioned particular incidents where the van of a cigarette company is frequently hit by robbers in the crime prone areas of Buhangin and Panacan.

Driz said the police have identified the perpetrators but the victims who initially pointed at the suspects would no longer cooperate in the filing of appropriate charges to send the respondents to jail.

“We urge the victims of criminalities to come out because the police are willing and capable to help you through the due process,” she pointed out.

Driz said the police have extended its investigation on the protocol being imposed by the cigarette firm which might be exploited by individuals with criminal tendencies.  (PIA 11-Joey Sem G. Dalumpines)
