DAVAO CITY, November 20 (PIA) The Annual 2nd Association of
Regional Executives of National Agencies Sportsfest formally opened today with
the theme,”Makilahok, Makilaro Makiisa,” at the covered court of the
Department of Public Works and Highways 11 Office.
Engr. Mariano Alquiza, director of the DPWH 11 welcomed the
delegates and teams from various line government agencies and expressed that
the activity aims to nurture camaraderie among the government employees.
He said camaraderie is wanting among government agencies
nowadays since the employees are more focused on deadlines and other rigors of
the service.
“It is a way of fostering good networking in Region 11
because we need to help one another in accomplishing our mission in government
service,” Alquiza said.
He said games will be played every Thursday, Friday and
Saturday where a schedule is set for every sports event and all games are set
to end by the first week of December 2015.
Alquiza said the culmination activity which will be the
awarding of prizes will done on the first flag-raising ceremony next year where
