In celebration of its 21st anniversary, the Bangko Sentral ng
Pilipinas will hold the 2014 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for BSP
Stakeholders in Regions X, XI and Caraga that have continuously supported its statistical
initiatives, information requirements, and advocacy programs.
The event will be held on Tuesday, 7 October 2014 at the Crystal
Ballroom, The Pinnacle Hotel and Suites, Davao City with the theme
“Forging Stronger Alliances, Propelling Sustainable Growth.” Deputy Governor
Diwa C. Guinigundo will lead in honoring this year’s awardees and stakeholders.
The BSP will give four awards for outstanding partners—three for the sources of information for the Report on Regional Economic Developments and one for the Financial Learning Campaign.
The Outstanding Partners for the Report on Regional Economic Developments will be awarded to the agencies or institutions that provided the BSP with information support for an effective environment scan of Regions X, XI and Caraga.
The BSP will give four awards for outstanding partners—three for the sources of information for the Report on Regional Economic Developments and one for the Financial Learning Campaign.
The Outstanding Partners for the Report on Regional Economic Developments will be awarded to the agencies or institutions that provided the BSP with information support for an effective environment scan of Regions X, XI and Caraga.
Meanwhile, the Outstanding Partner in Financial Learning Campaign
(FLC) will be given to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration’s (OWWA)
regional office that exhibited strong partnership with the BSP in providing
financial education to overseas Filipinos and their families on the importance
of using remittances to build up savings and directing these into investments
in financial products and business enterprises.
This occasion is the last in a series of 11 BSP regional stakeholders’ events following the awards ceremonies held in Regions I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX and XII from 15 July to 23 September 2014. Stakeholders of the BSP in the National Capital Region were earlier recognized during the awards ceremony held last 9 July 2014 at the BSP Main Office.
This event is expected to further strengthen the partnerships between the BSP and its stakeholders, resulting in more efficient and effective means of information gathering and conduct of advocacy campaigns to achieve the BSP’s ultimate goal of safeguarding price stability and promoting a healthy financial system as well as ensuring an effective payments and settlements system in the country.
