LGU Tagum presents land use plan in public hearing
TAGUM CITY, Davao del Norte, April 13, 2015 - The City Government of Tagum presented before leaders and representatives of various sectors in the city the proposed Comprehensive Land Use Plan or CLUP in a public hearing held on April 7, 2015 for the purpose of consolidating suggestions and feedbacks that will be incorporated by the Core of Planners in the city’s revised CLUP.
The CLUP is a vital document that will guide the city in achieving an equitable and balanced development. It brings forth the judicious and sustainable use of the city’s physical and socio-economic resources, its proper allocation and regulation.
The CLUP guides leaders in demarcating areas, which will strategically yield optimum production and increased efficiency of resources, for the CLUP is the basis of the city’s Zoning Ordinance.
Leading in the presentation is Mayor Allan L. Rellon, Vice Mayor Geterito Gementiza and all the members of the 6th City Council.
A fruitful open forum yielded feedbacks and suggestions from the participants that were properly noted by the officials and the city’s core of planners.
It can be recalled that Mayor Rellon endorsed before the 6th City Council during his 1st State of the City Address the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and the Zoning Ordinance and labeled them as a “priority legislative measure.”( Louie Lapat/CIO Tagum)
