21 (PIA) - - “Everything is in order.”
Regional Peace and Order
Council (RPOC) President and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte guaranteed the
public yesterday that the security plan for the Palarong Pambansa 2015 that
will be held in Davao de Norte on May 3-9 was final and in order.
“My policy ever since in
matters of security is that the preparation of the military and the police
would be final,” Mayor Duterte said.
Although Duterte did not
disclose the details of the plan, he said that it was a good piece of planning,
including its physical setup, by both the military and the police.
“I would not tell you
about the (details of the) plan. For the civilians, just enjoy the Palaro and
leave the security to us, the military and the police,” he said.
The mayor met yesterday
at the Bulwagan ng Lalawigan, Tagum City with the members of the peace and
order councils of the region and the province of Davao del Norte to discuss the
security for the Palaro.
Among those present were
Gov. Rodolfo del Rosario, mayors of the areas covered as billeting facilities,
