PNP Panabo gets accolades

PANABO CITY, Davao del Norte, June 18 (PIA)  - The Panabo City Police Station was awarded as top Philippine National Police  station in Davao del Norte  for the successful implementation security measures during the 2013 elections, this was announced by Panabo Chief of Police P/Supt. Antonio D. Alberio, Jr. during the June 10, 2013 Monday convocation at the lobby of the new Panabo City Hall.

P/Supt. Alberio added that Panabo is generally peaceful and manageable despite the threat of insurgency and petty crimes in a growing city.

The city's police chief said the biggest factor to attain peace and order is citizen’s cooperation by reporting any lawless activities and violations to any officials especially to PNP station for appropriate actions.  Alberio also cited the practice of individual vigilance by checking the doors, gates and other passages are locked to avoid easy entry lawless intruders into their homes also helped a lot.

Also during the June 10 convocation, Panabo City Mayor Jose L. Silvosa, Sr. reiterated his gratefulness for the fresh mandate given by the Panaboans. “With such great privilege to finish my 3rd and final term as mayor of Panabo City, I’m now facing the responsibility to have quality service not only for peace and order but for the good of Panabo City as a whole.” Silvosa said during his speech.

“Thus, I am warning those drug pushers and user employees such as job order, casual and contractual and including those outperforming personnel will be 100% not renewed, although verifications through intelligence report will still take place. However, let’s unite for we can do much for a better Panabo if we are united,” Silvosa added.

Also present during the convocation were Department of Interior and Local Government head Danilo Hernandez, Vice Mayor James Gamao, City Councilors Emeterio Blase and Gregorio Dujali III, City Admin Ramon Sawan, department heads, city employees and visitors who transact business in the city.
