PANABO CITY, Davao del Norte, June 21 (pia) - The City Government of Panabo has fulfilled the dream of Malativas Elementary School when a school building was established and the key of responsibility was handed over to the Department of Education in Panabo held early this month.
Celestino E. Revamonte school principal said, “I dreamed of putting a new school building in the center part of school campus, now was materialized.
“Dako ang akung pasalamat sa atong city government kay nakaangkon kami ug bag-ong school building. Amoa gyud kining ampingan aron modunar kini sa taas nga panahon.” (Big thanks to our city government for we were able to have a new school building, we will take of it so that it will be useful for a long time. ) Revamonte said.
Panabo City Mayor Jose L. Silvosa, Sr. has provided more school buildings to strengthen the educational program both the urban and rural areas as well.
Said establishment was funded under the Special Education Fund (SEF) with two regular classrooms, comfort rooms, water facilities and lights. It was a replacement of an old, abandoned and hazardous building constructed by Philippine Army in the late 60’s. The new building provided students with a pleasing ambiance for them to study.
Representing Mayor Silvosa was City Human Resource and Management Officer Henry M. Esparagoza. He said that the City Government will continue to support the plans and programs of the Department of Education in delivering the basic quality education in the city.
Vice Mayor James G. Gamao also assured to always support the plans and projects of Mayor Silvosa, especially in education program thru legislation for the better future of our younger Panaboans.
Also present were Malativas Barangay Chairman Samuel Dacalus, Sr., Barangay Officials, Parents-Teachers Association officers and barangay constituents. (June Geraldo – CIO Panabo)
