Discounted items, tour packages for grabs on Araw ng Davao del Norte opening

TAGUM CITY, Davao del Norte, June 21 (PIA):  Discounted consumer and household items and even tour packages are up for grabs on Monday (June 25) at the opening of the Kadagayaan Festival, marking the kick-off of the week-long 46th Araw ng Davao del Norte.
 
Davao del Norte Tourism Council Chairperson Araceli Ayuste revealed this saying 15 tour operators will be joining the opening day bringing with them offers to visit Davao del Norte destinations sold at “introductory price.”
Ayuste said tour operators would them be jacking up prices of tour packages after the 46th  Araw ng Davao del Norte during which the Provincial Government of Davao del Norte along with the Tourism Council will be launching the Tour DavNor, showing not only the choice destination of the province but also its people—a blend of tourism and culture.

The opening day of the celebration will also  the start of the Kadagayaan Festival which will also showcase the bounty in agriculture-fishery-livestock products  in every cities and towns which local government units will be putting up their respective booths.

During that day, the Department of Trade and Industry Davao del Norte provincial office will also be holding Presyo  Diskwento Caravan with free massage and haircut in cooperation with leading malls in Tagum City.
Part of the day’s upbeat activity is the blessing of the new RDR Gym which the provincial government has poured P50 million for  its renovation, forming a distinct part of the newly inaugurated Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Center.

The Monday’s series of events are designed to put into high gear the 46th founding anniversary of the province that will run until July 1 during which the anniversary program will be held. (PIA XI/ Jeanevive Abangan)
