DAVAO CITY- The Davao del Norte Sports and Cultural Complex will be the showcase venue of the 46th Araw ng Davao del Norte which will be held from June 24 to July 1.

According to Noel Daquioag Davao del Norte Provincial Tourism Officer the P248-million sports complex is now fully complete with the newly refurbished RDR Gymnasium now open to the public.

The gymnasium which stands beside the grandstand is an airconditioned facility which can accommodate 2,000 people. It was  refurbished with a budget of P49-million to complement the 11-hectare sports complex
The June 24 opening rites of the Kadagayaan Festival which is the festival component of the province's founding anniversary will be held at the gym. Daquioag said that nearly all events of the Kadagayaan festival will be held in the sports complex which the province is promoting as a sports tourism destination.

Highlight of the festival is the one-week Agri and Tourism Fair which will be held at the sports complex. Daquioag said the festival will give an opportunity for the people to visit the sports and tourism complex, which is a source of pride for the province.
