Panabo City celebrates Day Care Workers Day

PANABO CITY, Davao del Norte, June 21 – To promote camaraderie among day care workers in the city, the City Government of Panabo through the City Social Welfare and Development Office together with their Day Care Workers celebrated Day Care Workers day last June 17.

Anchored with a theme: Paglilinang at Pagsulong sa Kakayahan ng Day Care Workers Tungo sa Kabuoang Pag-unlad ng Batang Pilipino” ( Nurturing and leading the skills of Day Care Workers towards the over-all development of the Filipino chold) the events were held at the lobby of  the New Panabo City Hall.

On that day, the Panabo City Day Care Workers Association (PACIDACWA) led by Juliet Agustin, sponsored the Monday convocation. Day Care Workers is responsible for the education, care, social development training and other needs of children before they are sent to regular school which is vital for growth and development including obedience to God’s ways; loving discipline, training, correction, clear direction and wisdom.

To date, Panabo City has 68 Day Care Centers, the biggest in Davao del Norte where it bagged 4 awards namely 1) Outstanding Day Care Center was Brgy. New Visayas; 2) Best implementer of day Care Center was Brgy. Capt. Dizon Namuag of Brgy. New Visayas and 3) also the Outstanding Supporter for quality care for children; and 4) Outstanding day care Teacher was Norma S. de Catalina.

PACIDACWA congratulated also the City Social Welfare Development Office Head Eugenio Ortigoza for his leadership including his positive values such as: harmonious relationship, charming, full of optimism, friendliness, real mentoring, loving with sense of pride.

Also present were the Curay Dance Troupe who won the recent Banay-banay Dance Sports Competition alongside fellow finalists Khairenuisa Kate Dagsam and Christian Philip Dombase (first runner-up) and Hannah Christine Dombase and Clark Vincent Cero (second runner-up); Guhit Kamay Young Artist of Panabo with Hon. Elsie Debil-Grecia of Brgy. San Francisco, Davao del Norte Community Affairs Officer  Flor Lucas, city officials and local government employees. (CIO Panabo)
