By: Tagum City Information Office

CITY OF TAGUM, DAVAO DEL NORTE—Elevating his agenda on peace and security a notch higher, Mayor Allan L. Rellon bared that a joint effort between the Philippine National Police and the local government have been strengthened to combat criminality in the city.

This developed as 30 additional police officers are now detailed to Tagum City Police Office, thereby augmenting the police force that will ensure peace and order in Tagum.

In a talk to the members of the local media, Mayor Rellon said he additional policemen will be working closely with the LGU-assigned civilian agents of authorities in roving Tagum 24/7 that will increase police visibility.

Two teams—each composed of five police officers, two Security Management Officers (SMO) and two Traffic Management Officers (TMO)—will be on duty 24/7, with shifts from 8 AM-8 PM and 8 PM-8 AM.
Mayor Rellon thanked the Philippine National Police for giving additional police force to the city.

As a way of thanking them, the local government will be purchasing 30 single unit motorcycles and patrol cars to augment the city’s support to the police force.

One of the development thrusts of the Rellon Administration under the EAGLE WINGS Program is achieving genuine peace and security.

Meanwhile, concerned citizens on Monday endorsed Ronald Bigcas to the local police office who is a theft suspect. Snatching has alarmed residents here over the past weeks.

Recovered from the 31-year old Bigcas is the black hand bag owned by Potre Disoma who immediately lodged a complaint against the suspect. A case has already been filed against the suspect. | Gleiza Delgado and Louie Lapat of CIO Tagum
