Panabo students undergo livelihood training

PANABO CITY, DAVAO DEL NORTE May 29 (PIA) - In order to uplift the social and economic condition of the Panaboans, the Local Government of  Panabo thru the Community Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Program (CSTEP) conducted Fashion Jewelry and Scented Candle Making on May 22 and 27, respectively.

CSTEP facilitator  Marithel  Commendador said that SPES (Special Program for Education of Students) is fortunate to be included in the livelihood program. She continued that the training will give them the opportunity to earn extra income in their family. She added that they will not solely depend on their parents for their daily needs.

After the training, participants were given a Certificate of Training as proof that they have acquired the knowledge and skills. Poverty Alleviation Program is one of the flagship program of the Mayor Silvosa which is now shared out not only by mothers but also to SPES.

The said training was just one of the many livelihood and skills training in line with the JOESIL Program which stands for Job Opportunities through Entrepreneurship and Skills Development geared towards improving the living standards of Panaboans of Mayor Jose L.
