PhilHealth reminds members to pay premiums before deadline

DAVAO CITY, Sept. 28 – The Philhealth Regional Office 11 is calling out to all its voluntary members to secure payment for their third quarter contributions on or before the deadline on September 30.

Since the agency is expecting high volume of foot traffic during deadlines, it is urging members to practice advance payment of premiums to avoid inconvenience caused by longer queues.

This reminder also comes with the objective to instill a sense of responsibility among members since updated payment of contributions is one of the primary requisites when availing of healthcare benefits.

According to PhilHealth, a minimum requirement of at least three months payment within the past six months prior to the first day of confinement is required to avail such benefits. To avoid disruption or suspension of eligibility, premiums should always be ample and updated.

The office has also put up collection points all over the city, including a two-day payment center in Abreeza Mall on September 29 and 30.

Through their PhilHealth Identification Number (PIN), members may also pay at authorized bayad centers such as Western Union, LBC Express, MLhuilierEbiz partners, SM Retail stores, Philpost offices and other accredited banks nationwide. (PHIC-XI/Kleah Dublin)
