DAVAO DEL NORTE, October 8 (PIA) - - The provincial government here
through the Davao del Norte Investment Promotion Center (DNIPC) and the
Department of Trade and Industry conducted yesterday (October 6) a Forum
on Government E-Services.
Fifty five representatives from different enterprises in the province
assembled at the Bulwagan ng Lalawigan to know the different business
related-services offered by government agencies, which can be accessed
through the internet.
The identified agencies were Home Development and Mutual Fund (HDMF),
Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHIC), Social Security System
(SSS), and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
Roldan Torreon, program head of the DNIPC, said that the services
like online registration and payment have been developed for more than a
year already however, only very few have been familiar with these
online services.
“These services were created for our businesspersons or their
representatives to no longer hassle themselves waiting in a long queue
to transact to these offices,” Torreon said.
He encouraged the businesspersons to be acquainted with the online
services of these offices for them lesser stress from government
bureaucracy and focus more on their business.
He said that an easier way to transact to government offices will
reduce the bureaucracy and attract more investors in the province.
“Eventually, these initiatives of the national government agencies
will be replicated by the local governments in the province for us to
make an environment friendly environment,” Torreon said. (PIA 11,
