COMPOSTELA VALLEY PROVINCE, September 1, 2014-----The created Provincial Local Youth Council (PLYC) of Governor Arturo T. Uy through Executive Order No. 025-2013 is now all set, with young people empowered and motivated to actively participate in community driven programs and events for development.
They are even more functional and inspired with the guidance of a young and active leader himself, Senior Board Member Tyron Uy with his Youth, Education, and Sports (YES) Advocacy.
Representation to the PLYC requires the Provincial Federation Presidents of various youth organizations such as CVSP Scholars, IP Youth Federation, PAG-ASA Youth Association (PYAP), Youth for Peace Movement Federation, Diocesan Youth Apostolate Federation, Young Farmers (4-H Club) Federation, Student Government Council on Tertiary Level and Supreme Student Government (SSG) on Secondary, and on Technical Vocational Education.
Provincial Youth Coordinator Preciosa Toledo said that after the conducted organizational meeting, the following are the ones composing the Council officials: John Lerry A. Misa of CVSP- Chairperson; Imee Kassandra Cacho of SSG- Vice Chair; Pablito Quidato Jr. of IP- Secretary and; the Council members- Jahar Sequina, Ramel Luzon, Noemi Minguito, Shadrach Lindong, Shelou BroƱola, and Esmeraldo Hadcan III.
The provincial government sees to it that the youth sector in the province is well supported and that their voice be heard for they are the next in line generation to continue the advocacy programs of the government. (grace almedilla, ids-comval)
