Agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office XI led by Director III Emerson Rosales conducted a buy-bust operation last August 7, 2012 at around 8:00 p.m. at Purok Liberty, Manalac, Brgy. New Pandan, Panabo City, Davao del Norte.
The suspects were identified as Henry Larase Y Recorba, 38 years old and his cohort Mary Anne Amanio Y Dingding, 34 years old, banana quality inspector and both resident of Purok Liberty, Manalac, Brgy. New Pandan, Panabo City, Davao del Norte. The suspects were arrested after conspiring with each other in selling one (1) sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride otherwise known as “shabu” worth one thousand pesos (Php 1,000.00) to PDEA Agent who acted as poseur buyer. Another three (3) sachets of suspected shabu and the two pieces five hundred peso (Php 500.00) buy bust marked money bill with serial numbers AB933141 and QY777402 were also recovered from the possession and control of Larase.
The suspects are now detained at Panabo City Police Station detention facility. The seized suspected illegal drugs were submitted to Philippine National Police Provincial Crime Laboratory, Tagum City, Davao del Norte for laboratory examination. Cases for violation of Section 26 in relation to Section 5 and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” are being filed against the suspects.
This serves as a warning to all drug perpetrators that the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the community are closely working together and always vigilant in the fight against illegal drugs.
