Malanyaon sets sight on enhancing all tourism potentials of DavOr before term ends



DAVAO CITY, July 3 (PIA) Davao Oriental Governor   Corazon Malanyaon bared to focus her governance in developing more the tourism potentials of the province on the last year of her leadership.

She said every municipality in the province needs a landmark that will be the standard in enhancing the economic and tourism development in every area by the local government units and non-government organizations.

Malanyaon cited the need to complete all   infrastructure projects and to promote the province as a premiere tourist destination.

“At the end of my term, each town including the city of Mati would have a landmark that will set the foundation for future developments.  I am setting the development standard for all development works that will be initiated by the local government units and the private sector,” she said.  
   
Malanyaon explained that every town in his province has its own tourist attraction both natural and cultural that needs to be improved.

She said tourist visitations will take three days to be delighted with the scenic spots of all towns including Mati City.

Malanyaon said the current thrust of her leadership is in line with enhancing the Surigao del Norte-Surigao del Sur-Davao Oriental Growth area, established by the Mindanao Development Authority, as a tourism corridor in Mindanao. (PIA 11-Joey Sem G. Dalumpines)
