DAVAO CITY, July 3 (PIA) Davao Oriental Governor
Corazon Malanyaon bared to focus her governance in developing more
the tourism potentials of the province on the last year of her leadership.
She said every municipality in the province
needs a landmark that will be the standard in enhancing the economic and
tourism development in every area by the local government units and
non-government organizations.
Malanyaon cited the need to complete all
infrastructure projects and to promote the province as a premiere
tourist destination.
“At the end of my term, each town including the
city of Mati would have a landmark that will set the foundation for future
developments. I am setting the development standard for all development
works that will be initiated by the local government units and the private
sector,” she said.
Malanyaon explained that every town in his
province has its own tourist attraction both natural and cultural that needs to
be improved.
She said tourist visitations will take three
days to be delighted with the scenic spots of all towns including Mati City.
Malanyaon said the current thrust of her
leadership is in line with enhancing the Surigao del Norte-Surigao del
Sur-Davao Oriental Growth area, established by the Mindanao Development
Authority, as a tourism corridor in Mindanao. (PIA 11-Joey Sem G. Dalumpines)
