Israeli Government helps rebuild Yolanda-affected school

A senior Israeli general arrived in Cebu Monday  night and went  directly to the center of Israeli rescue operations - in the north of the island. Major General Eyal Eizenberg was met by representatives of the Embassy and of the Philippine military.

After initial briefings, he toured sites that had been devastated by the super typhoon.

His first stop was at Bogo Central School II, one of the damaged schools caused by Typhoon Yolanda.

After intense efforts initiated by the Israeli team, the situation in the school has greatly improved. Walls have been repaired, roofs have become stable and all classes have resumed.

All the students were cheering as the Israeli commander arrived. The emotions were high and there was hardly an eye without a tear in listening to the passionate words of the school head thanking the team for all their good work.

The Israeli general couldn’t help but get emotional while hearing the pure and heartfelt emotions of the school kids.

The State of Israel has promised that even after the assistance , aid and support will continue. He stressed  “the Philippines will not stand alone.” (pr).
