Davao Light apologizes for the emergency power outage yesterday, June 26


Davao Light & Power Company apologizes for the power outage yesterday, June 26, which resulted due to a broken grounding line along Circumferential Road.

Davao Light's Corporate Communications Officer, Ross Luga, said that the outage which started at 9:13 AM has affected customers in some parts of downtown areas and those residing from Bacaca going to Diversion road.

Also affected by the service disruption were the electric utility's main offices; Ponciano Office, Rondez Engineering Center and its ERA Substation.

Hospital lines serving Limso, Davao Doctors, Brokenshire and Davao Medical School Foundation have also experienced the power interruption.  

Gradual restoration of power supply began at 9:59 AM and at 11:47 AM all affected areas have been fully energized.

Davao Light deeply apologizes to its customers for the inconvenience brought about by the emergency service interruption, hence, was not able to make prior notice. The company's emergency maintenance crew has exerted all efforts to restore power within the least possible time.
