USeP studes notch 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 10th in LET 2015



Four University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) students were included in the Top 10 in Elementary Level of September 2015 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). One of the students is from Obrero, Davao City campus and three are from the Apokon,Tagum City Campus.

Ms. Loren Elcid Marzo Real of Obrero Campus got the third place with the rating of 86.20 while Mr. King ParcutiloTalimodao, Jr. of Tagum Campus got the sixth place with a rating of 85.60. Mr. Froilan Guttierrez Legaspino and Ms. Septemberly Gemida Superalesalso of Tagum, notched the ninth and tenth places with the ratings of 85 and 84.80, respectively.

Although the LET is not the sole indicator of success for students after they graduate, the four topnotchers clearly prove USeP’s dedication when it comes to providing quality education. The University regularly evaluates the need of the industry in order to make sure that the curriculum is updated.Relatively, the USeP Tagum-Mabini campus was also listed as one of the country’s top 10 teacher education institutions, based on licensure examination performance, per study conducted by the Philippine Business for Education or PBED from 2009-2014.

With the ASEAN Integration just around the corner, state universities have the responsibility to ensure that graduates won’t be left behind in the global competition of landing in their ideal jobs. The University is assuring the public that it will continue to find better ways of teaching, employ highly qualified faculty, and use state-of-the-art facilities in order to become a Premier University in the ASEAN Region.
