CIPI conducts ISO 9001:2008 surveillance at DOST-XI

DAVAO CITY, Feb. 15 – “I believe that quality service is important to achieve a very satisfactory customer service,” said Dr. Anthony C. Sales, regional director of the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office No. XI (DOST XI).

Sales took steps to ensure that DOST-XI meets the ISO 9001:2008 requirement by implementing an effective quality management system.

DOST XI subjected itself to the second surveillance audit under ISO 9001:2008 on February 5-6, 2013 and enrolled 21 operational processes involved under the standard.

The surveillance audit was done by the Certification International Philippines, Inc. (CIPI) with Engr. Renato David as auditor.

The scope includes provision of packaging and labeling assistance, innovation system support, consultancy and technical services, technology training program, S&T scholarship, and S&T promotion among others.

To continuously provide products and services to both government and private sectors in the region, DOST XI maintains ISO 9001:2008 certification.

Through this, DOST XI can continue to function with the highest standards of quality and reliability. (DOST-XI)
