Duterte lays down coverage of Supplemental Budget No. 1

DAVAO CITY, Sept 8 (PIA) Mayor Rodrigo Duterte laid down the items which need government spending through the Supplemental Budget No. 1 worth P217-Million approved recently by the Sangguniang Panglungsod.

Speaking in the public affairs program, “Gikan sa Masa, Para sa Masa,” he said support to public health and peace and order programs get the bigger share of the supplemental budget.

He said the city government has to pay the debts it owes from the Southern Philippines Medical Center under the Lingap Para sa mga Mahihirap Program.

Duterte said he also needs to pay the honorarium for the additional five police auxiliaries per barangay given the responsibility to watch over on crimes against property.

He said the local government is also obliged to give its share of the Collective Negotiation Agreement with the union of government employees who needs an increase of P5,000 each.

Duterte said local public markets also need reroofing, in particular, the market places of Toril, Calinan, Bangkerohan and Agdao.

The city council in September 3 approved on final reading the Supplemental Budget No.  1 with a total amount at Php217, 709,007.84 taken from the surplus of calendar year 2013, reversion of various appropriations and local sources as certified by the City Treasurer’s Office.
